This Privacy Policy explains how DressUpStyle.ai (“DressUp”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) processes personal data when you use the DressUp mobile app or this website. For questions or privacy requests, contact support@dressupstyle.ai.

1. Data We Process

Depending on the features you use, we process:

Account and profile data: email address, first and last name, user ID, sign-in provider, date of birth, gender, language, time zone and app platform/version.
User content and preferences: clothing, avatar and personal photos; wardrobe items; outfits; ratings; style preferences; AI requests; trip and planner data; and web-image-search queries.
Location data: a location you select manually or, with device permission, precise coordinates used to provide local weather and location-based features.
Purchase data: products, transaction or order identifiers, receipts and subscription status. Apple and Google process payment-card details; DressUp does not receive them.
Usage, device and diagnostic data: app interactions, device and operating-system information, push-notification tokens, IP-derived approximate location, advertising or app identifiers, crash reports and performance diagnostics.
Communications: support requests and, only if you opt in, marketing-email preferences.

2. How We Use Data

We use this data to:

create and manage your account;
store your wardrobe and provide outfit, planner, weather, image-search and virtual try-on features;
personalize AI-generated results using the information you provide;
process, verify and restore purchases and subscriptions;
deliver notifications and communications you request;
measure feature usage, diagnose errors, protect the service and prevent fraud or abuse;
serve ads to eligible free users. Advertising choices are requested where required, and personalized advertising on iOS also depends on App Tracking Transparency permission.

Marketing emails are optional and disabled by default for new accounts. You can change that preference in the app or unsubscribe from an email.

3. AI and Image Processing

When you choose an AI or image-processing feature, the relevant prompt, profile details, images or generated output may be sent to a provider solely to perform the requested operation. Depending on the feature, these providers include OpenAI, PiAPI, Magic Hour, PicWish and Google Cloud Vision. Web-image search uses Brave Search, and weather requests use OpenWeather.

Do not upload images or other content unless you have the right to use them. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in prompts or images.

4. Service Providers

We use service providers acting under their own terms and privacy commitments, including:

Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage, server functions, app integrity, analytics and messaging;
Sentry — sanitized crash and error monitoring;
Google Maps and Places — map display and location search;
Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform — advertising and consent management;
Apple and Google — sign-in, app distribution, in-app purchases and subscriptions;
OpenAI, Google Cloud Vision, PiAPI, Magic Hour and PicWish — requested AI and image-processing features;
Brave Search — requested web-image searches;
OpenWeather — requested weather information;
SMTP2GO — transactional and opted-in email delivery.

Some providers process data outside your country. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.

5. Legal Bases

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on:

contractual necessity to provide the account and features you request;
consent for optional device permissions, marketing emails and advertising choices where required;
legitimate interests in service security, fraud prevention, limited product analytics and troubleshooting, balanced against your rights;
legal obligations, including accounting and transaction-record requirements.

You may withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect processing already performed lawfully and may make an optional feature unavailable.

6. Retention

Account data and saved content are generally retained while your account is active. When an account-deletion request is completed, account data and saved content are removed from active systems, subject to limited backup cycles and records we must retain for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.

Operational logs, diagnostics and provider-side temporary files are kept only for the period needed for security, troubleshooting or delivery of the requested feature, according to the relevant retention settings and legal requirements.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing; receive a portable copy of your data; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority.

8. Children

DressUp is not intended for children under 13. Registration requires a date of birth showing that the user is at least 13. Where local law requires a higher age to consent independently to data processing, a parent or guardian must provide any required authorization.

If you believe a child has provided personal data contrary to these rules, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network transport, authenticated access and app-integrity protections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

10. Website Analytics

This website may use Google Analytics and related cookies or identifiers to understand aggregate traffic. Browser or consent controls can limit these technologies where available.

11. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect product, provider or legal changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when required.
